The Editor,
We thank the authors for the interest shown in our article.[1] We also thank them for supporting our views by recommending the need of guidelines for cardiac anesthesiologists and cath lab working to the concerned society.[2]
Our purpose of the survey was to know the difficulties while working in the cath lab and the views of the cardiac anesthesiologists. We approached 500 cardiac anesthesiologists via e mail and WhatsApp link, but only 25% of cardiac anesthesiologists have replied. Guidelines approved by the Indian society of cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesiologists will definitely establish a uniform working pattern all over Indian cath lab centers. We thank the authors for giving us updated numbers of cath labs in India.[3] At the time of writing manuscript, we were not aware of the reference provided. I apologize to readers for providing old data of cath lab numbers of India. Authors have rightly pointed out the discriminations in super speciality post-graduation seats of cardiology, cardiac surgery, and cardiac anesthesiology.
Authors have given correct suggestion of providing practicing manuals to cardiac anesthesiologists and cardiac centers. It will be helpful not only for improved patient care but also for better working environment between cardiologists and cardiac anesthesiologists.
